Elmhurst Insurance Agency Hosts Hurricane Harvey Relief Drive

ELMHURST, IL — The David Agency Insurance, an insurance company located at 385 N. York St., in Elmhurst is sponsoring a Hurricane Harvey Relief Drive to collect needed items to send to Texas. According to a release, the drive will collect clothing for men, women and children, personal items such as tooth brushes, toothpaste, deodorant and shampoo, towels, toys, etc., to ship by truck to Texas by the end of this week.

Dave Meilahn, Owner of The David Agency, is asking his fellow Elmhurst Chamber members to assist in the effort to provide these much needed donations.

According to the release, a client of The David Agency has multiple apartment complexes located in Corpus Christi, Rockport, Aransas Pass and surrounding areas that were hit very hard by Hurricane Harvey, and multiple families have either lost their homes or been displaced to temporary shelters or homes.

You can deliver relief items by Sept. 1 to The David Agency’s Elmhurst office at 385 N. York Road during business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Donations of empty shipping boxes are needed as well. If there is a large participation, The David Agency will provide a delivery truck.
