Elmhurst Man Accused Of Domestic Battery

In another case, a local church asks officers to issue a no-trespass notice, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police have answered calls recently about domestic battery, trespassing, aggressive behavior, threatening messages and retail theft. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:

Domestic battery

  • A 46-year-old man who lives in the 100 block of North Maple in Elmhurst was arrested shortly after midnight Sunday at his house on a charge of domestic battery. Police said an argument turned physical when a man grabbed a woman and pushed her. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Trespassing

  • Grace Bible Church, 398 W. Eggleston Ave., asked police Saturday to serve a no-trespass notice to be served against a suspect. An investigation is pending.

Aggressive behavior

  • A person with a history of aggressive behavior with customers and staff at Jewel, 153 E. Schiller St., was given a no-trespass notice about 8 a.m. Thursday.

Threatening

  • A resident in the 800 block of South Hawthorne Avenue told police Thursday that she received threatening messages from an ex-boyfriend's daughter. The resident wanted the incident documented, but not have officers contact the suspect.

Suspicious

  • A resident in the 400 block of North Elm Avenue told police Friday that he noticed a white Acura van parked in the middle of the street and four people get out of it. Officers checked the area for signs of burglaries, but could find none. The incident occurred about 1:30 a.m. Friday.

Retail theft

  • A woman was seen on surveillance footage stealing merchandise about 8 p.m. Oct. 21 at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83. The report was filed Saturday. She was described as black with a light complexion and wearing tan pants, a tan long-sleeve jacket and a yellow shirt. An investigation is pending.
  • Suspects were seen on surveillance footage stealing merchandise about 9 p.m. Thursday at Jewel, 153 E. Schiller St. An investigation is pending.
