Elmhurst Man Among Latest DUI Arrests: Cops

In another case, a Bensenville man was found with drugs in a park, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of DUI, retail theft and drug possession, among other offenses. Here is information from the reports:

DUIs

  • Stephen Nestler, 76, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 10 a.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of Schiller Street on charges of DUI and using unsafe tires. He was released on bond.
  • Jaime Valle-Hernandez, 53, of Chicago, was arrested about 8:30 p.m. at St. Charles Road and York Street on charges of DUI, illegal transportation of open alcohol by a driver, failure to wear a seat belt, driving an uninsured vehicle and improper lane usage. He was released on bond.
  • Michelle Page, 38, of Lisle, was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at North and West avenues on charges of DUI and using unsafe tires. She was released on bond.

Retail theft

  • Justin K. Garth, 27, of Bellwood, was arrested about 4 p.m. Tuesday at Jewel, 944 S. York St., on a Cook County Sheriff's Office warrant and charges of retail theft and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they found alcohol stolen from Jewel in a taxi. Garth was a passenger. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Drug possession

  • Steven Foster, 64, of Bensenville, was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of South West Avenue on a charge of unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Police said they received a report of a suspicious person. They said they found Foster near a baseball field with two small baggies containing a white powdery substance. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
