Elmhurst Man Batters Cop During Disturbance: Report
The resident was charged and taken to the county jail, police say.
ELMHURST, IL — An Elmhurst man attacked a police officer responding to a domestic disturbance at his house last week, according to a police report.
Ryan T. Howard, 35, was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery to a police officer.
The incident happened about 5 p.m. Oct. 7 in the 200 block of Bonnie Brae Avenue, police said.

Officers were called to Howard's house, where he was breaking property and threatening family members, police said. He then battered a police officer when he was being taken into custody, according to the report.
Howard was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
