Elmhurst Man Creates Ruckus At Restaurant, Fails To Pay For Meal: Police

He has been arrested repeatedly over the years, including at least twice last year.

ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst man caused a disturbance over the weekend at a local restaurant after failing to pay for his meal, police said.

The 39-year-old, who lives in the 600 block of West Fay Avenue, was charged with theft of services, assault and disorderly conduct, police said.

Police said the incident occurred about 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Modern Plate restaurant, 119 N. York St.

The man was accused of not paying for a meal and threatening employees when confronted. He was released.

Local police have regularly arrested the man over the years.

A year ago, the man was charged with disorderly conduct after being accused of making derogatory and sexual comments to a woman and approaching her threateningly.

Last Halloween, he was charged with disorderly conduct and assault after he was alleged to have scared children and smashed one person's phone to the ground.

He also has faced domestic battery and aggravated battery charges over the years.
