Elmhurst Man Faces Felony DUI Charge
He crashed into an occupied car and drove away, police said. It was reported as his fourth DUI.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of DUI, disorderly conduct and DUI. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst arrest log:
Felony DUI
- Mario Chiaramonte, 62, who lives in the 400 block of West Avery Street in Elmhurst, was arrested about 6 p.m. Thursday on charges of aggravated DUI (fourth violation), leaving the scene of a crash involving damage to an attended vehicle and driving with a revoked license. The crash with an occupied car was in the 400 block of North York Street. Chiaramonte was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Disorderly conduct

- A 40-year-old Romeoville man was cited about 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of North York Street on a disorderly conduct charge. Police said the man tried to open the doors of a medical office building. When he was unsuccessful, he picked up a metal box on the ground near the main entrance and threw it, police said. He is then accused of trying to enter another business. The man was released.
Battery
- A 53-year-old La Grange Highlands man was cited March 9 on a battery charge. Police said the man got into an argument with another person about 9 a.m. March 8 at CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave. He is then accused of pushing the person in his chest.
Soliciting without a permit

- A 39-year-old Chicago man, a 46-year-old Arlington Heights woman and a 22-year-old Arlington Heights woman were cited about 4 p.m. Saturday at Route 83 and North Avenue on charges of soliciting without a permit. Police said the trio was selling roses.
DUI
- A 56-year-old Romeoville man was arrested about 8 p.m. Thursday at York Street and Roosevelt Road on charges of DUI (third offense), driving with a suspended license, obstructing identification, driving an uninsured car and driving with expired license plates. Police said the man gave officers a false ID. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- A 20-year-old Wood Dale man was arrested about 2 a.m. Saturday at Grand Avenue and Lake Street on charges of DUI under the age of 21, transportation of open alcohol, unlawful possession or consumption of alcohol by a minor, unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver and speeding 35 mph over the limit. He was taken to the police station and then released.
