Elmhurst Man Found In Ditch, Arrested On DUI Charge: Cops
Elmhurst police charged eight people with drunken driving over a week.
ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst police arrested eight people, including two Elmhurst men, on DUI charges over a week. All the suspects were taken to the police station and then released. Here is information from the reports:
- A 65-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 800 block of Swain Avenue was arrested Saturday in the 100 block of South Route 83 on a DUI charge. Police said they were called about a car in a ditch. The man received medical attention.
- A 52-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 400 block of South Parkside Avenue was arrested about 10 p.m. March 19 at Berkley Avenue and St. Charles Road on charges of DUI and illegal stopping on the roadway.
- An 18-year-old Schaumburg man was arrested about 10:30 p.m. March 19 in the 100 block of South Route 83 on charges of DUI (drugs), marijuana possession by a driver and driving an uninsured car. Police said they were called about a reckless driver.
- A 35-year-old Lombard woman was arrested about 1:30 a.m. March 17 at North and Highland avenues on charges of DUI, improper lane usage, failing to signal when required, driving an uninsured car and driving on the wrong side of the road.
- A 28-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 3 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles Road and Interstate 290 on charges of DUI, transportation of open alcohol and improper lane usage.
- A 33-year-old Dayton, Tennessee, man was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Saturday at Route 83 and St. Charles Road on charges of DUI, improper lane usage, improper lighting and driving an uninsured car.
- A 31-year-old Orland Park man was arrested about 1 a.m. Sunday at Butterfield Road and York Street on charges of DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
- A 22-year-old Aurora man was arrested about 4 a.m. Sunday at Michigan and North avenues on charges of DUI, improper lane usage and illegal transportation of open alcohol by a driver.
