Elmhurst Man Strikes Paramedic: Cops

He was being taken by ambulance to Elmhurst Hospital, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of aggravated battery, assault, retail theft, trespassing and DUI. Here is information from the reports:

Aggravated battery

  • Bruce Hostetler, 62, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 7 p.m. Thursday in the 100 block of West Virginia Street on charges of aggravated battery against a government employee and assault. An ambulance was called to Hostetler's home on Virginia Street. While being taken to Elmhurst Hospital, Hostetler became agitated and battered a paramedic, police said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail, where he remained Monday afternoon.

  • Nikola Dytlow, 30; Anna G. Kaminska, 31; and Izabela M. Dytlow, 52, all of Franklin Park, were cited about 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Kohl's, 303 S. Route 83, on three counts of retail theft. Officers responded to a retail theft in progress. Police said the three suspects were found with merchandise in their car from Kohl's, Petco at 199 S. Route 83 and Whole Foods at 215 S. Route 83. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Trespassing

  • Jennifer Solano Beltran, 20, of Wood Dale; Froylan Medina, 19, of Hillside; and Bruce Turrubiates, 19, of Hillside, were cited about 1:30 a.m. Friday at the city's parking garage at 149 N. Addison Ave. on charges of trespassing. Police said the trio were loitering on the top level of the garage. Two youths were cited for curfew violations and released to their parents. They were released on bond.

DUIs

  • Eliseo Patishtan-Gomez, 19, of Streamwood, was arrested about 8:30 p.m. Friday at Lake Street and Walnut Avenue on charges of DUI, transportation of open alcohol by a driver, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, disobeying a traffic control signal, and possession of alcohol by a minor. He was released on bond.
  • Sandro Gonzalez, 37, of Aurora, was arrested Sunday at Route 83 and Riverside Drive on charges of DUI, speeding and tinted windows. He was released on bond.
