Elmhurst Middle School Principal Retiring

ELMHURST, IL – Linda Fehrenbacher, principal of Sandburg Middle School in Elmhurst, is retiring.

On Friday, Elmhurst School District 205 revealed it was holding a special board meeting Monday to choose a new principal for Sandburg.

Following tradition, the district is keeping secret beforehand the name of the person who the board plans to vote on. It is likely crafting a news release about the person, with the plan to release the information publicly moments after the selection.

In 2014, Fehrenbacher took Sandburg's helm from Jeff Gail, who had been acting as the school's interim principal.

Fehrenbacher was formerly the principal of Elmhurst's Jefferson Elementary School.
