Elmhurst Official Takes Job In Another Town
She has been with Elmhurst's city government for 15 years.

ELMHURST, IL — An Elmhurst official is leaving soon to take a job on the North Shore.
Erin Jason, Elmhurst's business development coordinator, is set to become the new assistant city manager for Highland Park. She begins March 15.
She was chosen from a field of more than 100 applicants vying to replace Ron Sabo, who left last month to become the village manager in Rolling Meadows.

In her 15 years in Elmhurst, Jason has been the deputy city clerk and Freedom of Information Act officer.
"I am thrilled to continue my career in public service with the wonderful city of Highland Park," Jason said in a statement in Highland Park.

She has been responsible for overseeing Elmhurst's tax increment finance districts and working with businesses.
Highland Park's population is about two-thirds of Elmhurst's. According to the U.S. Census. Highland Park's median household income is about $150,000, higher than Elmhurst's $119,000.
