Elmhurst Police Investigate Death of 93-Year-Old Woman

Elmhurst police officers responded to Edward-Elmhurst Healthcare early Sunday morning after a man called 911 to report possible nursing home malpractice in the death of his grandmother, reports said.

Officers were only able to talk to the caller by phone when they arrived at the hospital around 3:46 a.m. Jan. 18.

The caller refused to cooperate with police after making the allegations, saying he would only answer questions with his attorney present. 

Police had no comment about the investigation except to say that the woman was 93 years old.
