Elmhurst Progressives Rally For Man Killed By Ice In Minnesota
The group has held weekend demonstrations for much of the last year, protesting Trump administration policies.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst progressives endured the cold to rally Sunday on York Street near City Hall for Alex Pretti, who was shot to death by ICE agents a day earlier in Minneapolis.
Organizers said more than 200 showed up with little notice, carrying signs calling for the removal of ICE, justice for those they say are the victims of ICE raids and immigrant rights.
For nearly a year, progressives have held Saturday demonstrations outside City Hall to protest the Trump administration's policies. They canceled Saturday's because of the extreme cold. But they announced Sunday's at the last minute because of outrage over Pretti's death.
