Elmhurst Ranks 8th For DUI Arrests Among Illinois Towns

Four officers were noted for making the most local drunken driving arrests.

ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst is one of the top police departments in Illinois for drunken driving arrests, a study released this week shows.

In 2023, Elmhurst made 215 DUI arrests, putting it eighth among towns in Illinois, according to the Alliance Against Intoxicated Motorists. The rankings exclude Chicago, which had nearly 2,500 such arrests.

Elmhurst's ranking of eighth is particularly significant, given it is the 33rd most populous town in Illinois.
