Elmhurst Shop Sells Marijuana Illegally: Cops

An Elmhurst man was charged with selling psilocybin mushroom growing kits, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – A downtown Elmhurst business was found to have illegally sold marijuana, police said.

Police were called to the store on the afternoon of March 7.

According to a report, a 58-year-old man at iVape Bar, 261 N. York St., sold suspected "flower cannabis" from the shop. It tested positive for THC content at a certified laboratory, police said.

The man was also found to have sold psilocybin mushroom growing kits, police said.

On Monday, the man, who lives in the 200 block of East Third Street in Elmhurst, was cited on charges of having an unlicensed marijuana business, unlawfully selling marijuana, possessing marijuana and selling drug paraphernalia, police said.
