Elmhurst Superior Ambulance Employees Receive Award
Two Elmhurst employees were given the Star of Life award, the highest honor an EMT worker can receive.

ELMHURST, IL — Two Elmhurst employees at Superior Ambulance were honored with an award in Washington D.C. Dane Domagal, an Assistant Station Manager in Elmhurst, and Demel Fountain, a Critical Care Paramedic/Station Manager in Elmhurst, were given the Star of Life award, the highest honor an EMT worker can receive.
According to a release from Superior Ambulance, the ceremony occurred June 12, where Fountain and Domagal joined their fellow Class of 2018 Stars for three days of education and recognition on Capitol Hill. The group also got to tour the East and West Wing of the White House along with numerous other landmarks, memorials and monuments.
Award recipients also met with members of Congress and Congressional aides to discuss legislative issues critical to all Emergency Medical Service professionals. According to Superior Ambulance, they met with U.S. reps. Dan Lipinski, Mike Quigley, Peter Roskam, Danny K. Davis, Raja Krishnamoorthi, Brad Schneider, Bill Foster, Randy Hultgren, Adam Kinzinger, and Darin LaHood.
