Elmhurst Toyota Scion to Host USO BBQ for the Troops
All proceeds from the July 18 BBQ for the Troops will go to USO of Illinois.

Elmhurst Toyota Scion will host its annual USO BBQ for the Troops on July 18 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the dealership, 440 W Lake St., Elmhurst.
The fundraiser to support the USO of Illinois and local military troops and their families is free to the public.

The event will feature live country music by the Senn Alan Band, known for their performances at Joe’s Bar, opening act for Brad Paisley and Taylor Swift and a raffle for a pair of Toby Keith concert tickets provided by US99 radio.
The USO BBQ for the Troops will also feature the Elmhurst American Legion Color Guard and Honor Guard, a hog roast by Double D Pig Roast, an inflatable slide for the kids from Moon Jump 4-U and a memorial for fallen troops from World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam and the Gulf War/Iraq/ Afghanistan War.

The U. S. Marine Recruiters from RSS Dupage North will be set up at Elmhurst Toyota, inviting guests to participate in their physical training tests for prizes. The U. S. Army Recruiters from Melrose Park are providing military vehicles, and U.S. Army 379th Chemical company will be providing large military trucks.
“We are excited to be hosting this great event at our dealership this year,” said Kurt Schiele, general manager at Elmhurst Toyota Scion. ”Elmhurst Toyota proudly supports our local military troops and their families, and we look forward to making this a big event every year.”
All proceeds from the BBQ for the Troops will go to USO of Illinois for the benefit of local military troops and their families.
