Elmhurst Woman Accused Of Aggravated Battery Of Officer: Cops
The battery occurred after a police officer stopped and charged her with DUI, among other offenses, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving aggravated battery, trespassing, a disturbance, soliciting without a permit, burglary, damage, DUI and drug possession. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
Aggravated battery
- Andriana Huizar, 26, who lives in the 500 block of West Third Street in Elmhurst, was arrested about 11 a.m. Friday in the 100 block of West Adelaide Street on charges of aggravated battery to a police officer, DUI, driving an uninsured car and transporting open alcohol. She was taken to the DuPage County Jail. Patch plans to file a public records request in the case.
Trespassing

- A 60-year-old Villa Park man was arrested about noon Sunday in the 200 block of West Park Avenue on a trespassing charge. Last week, police said the man was charged with trespassing three times in the 100 block of West Park.
Disturbance
- A 33-year-old Elmhurst woman who lives in the 500 block of St. Charles Road was arrested about 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Charles Road and West Avenue on a warrant. Police said they were called to a disturbance. The woman was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Soliciting without a permit

- A 21-year-old Sandy Hook, Connecticut, man was cited about 7:30 p.m. Saturday at CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave., on a charge of soliciting without a permit. Police said the man admitted to selling Sunrun solar energy products.
Burglary
- Someone entered through the roof and stole items from storage units July 23 at Extra Space Storage, 160 W. Industrial Drive. An investigation is pending.
Damage
- A 37-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 600 block of West Third Street was arrested about 3:30 p.m. Friday on a criminal property damage charge. Police said the incident occurred in the 500 block of West Second Street. The man was released.
DUI
- An 84-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 1000 block of South Euclid Avenue was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Friday at York and Wilson streets on charges of DUI, improper lighting, disobeying a stop sign and improper lane usage. He was taken to the police station and then released.
- A 20-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 1 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Schiller Street on charges of DUI, loud muffler-caused noise and consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was taken to the police station and then released.
- A 27-year-old Bloomingdale man was arrested about 8 a.m. Sunday at 265 S. Route 83 on a DUI charge. He was taken to the police station and then released.
- A 42-year-old Villa Park man was arrested about 4:30 a.m. Sunday at Grand Avenue and Lake Street on charges of DUI, improper lighting, driving the wrong way on a divided highway, driving an uninsured car and possession of open alcohol. He was taken to the police station and then released.
Drug possession
- A 32-year-old Chicago woman and a 41-year-old Algonquin woman were arrested about 2:30 a.m. Thursday at North and Berteau avenues on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.
- A 37-year-old Joliet man was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Sunday at Grand Avenue and Industrial Drive on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving an uninsured car and having a suspended registration. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
