Elmhurst Woman Assaults Officer, Resists Arrest: Cops

The suspect ran and hid from officers in her neighborhood, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – An Elmhurst woman was arrested on felony charges after she assaulted an officer, became combative and resisted arrest, local police said.

Marissa M. Bender, 29, who lives in the 800 block of North Willow Street, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery, two counts of attempted aggravated assault and one count of resisting arrest, police said.

About 11 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to a disturbance at Bender's house, police said. She is accused of running and hiding from the police.
