ELMHURST, IL — The Room Upstairs, a new escape room in Elmhurst, will open its doors Aug. 25. The first room to open will be Word Mania, followed by the second room, Captain's Quarters, in early September. According to the release from the city, Word Mania will feature a 30-minute room and a 60-minute room (Word Mania Extreme). When the door closes, teams must race against the clock to find the clues, solve riddles, get the key, and escape.
The city announced earlier this summer the business was coming to Elmhurst, and it located on the second floor at 152 N. York St. The entrance is located between the York Theatre and The Gaming Goat.
