Ex-Teacher From Elmhurst Accused Of Sexual Misconduct: Report

The man lived in an Elmhurst neighborhood for more than two decades, real estate records show.

ELMHURST, IL – A former Elmhurst resident who worked as a teacher in other school districts is the subject of lawsuits that allege he sexually abused female students, according to a Chicago Tribune story.

On Sunday, the Tribune ran a front-page story about Dallas Till, who is in his late 40s. Till lived in Elmhurst for more than two decades and graduated from Elmhurst University.

Three women have sued school districts where Till worked, the Tribune reported.

He worked at Morton East High School in Cicero and Elmwood Park High School in Elmwood Park.

The litigation alleges Till began abusing students when he was a student teacher. Elmhurst University is a defendant because that's where he completed his student teaching requirement. The university told the Tribune it did not learn of Till's alleged misconduct during his student teaching.

Till concluded his career at Riverside-Brookfield High School in Riverside. In January 2023, Till was fired from Riverside-Brookfield after being placed on leave months before amid the allegations, according to the Riverside-Brookfield Landmark newspaper. Riverside-Brookfield's district said it has received no abuse allegations against Till at its high school.

Real estate records show that Till lived in the 200 block of North Glenview Avenue in Elmhurst for 20 years. He sold his house for $420,000 in August 2023, the records state.

He moved to a house in a new subdivision in Benton, Arkansas, which is a half hour southwest of Little Rock. Built last year, the house was purchased for $470,000.

According to the Arkansas teacher database, Till is not a public school teacher there.
