Extended Hours, New Amenities For Elmhurst Pools
New amenities and extended hours are some of the changes at the park district pools this summer.

ELMHURST, IL — After a survey of pool pass and pool punch card holders last fall, the Elmhurst Park District has extended hours at several pools and added some new amenities. The park district said Smalley Pool and East End Pool will now have extended hours.
Smalley Pool will now open at 10 a.m. to allow families with young children to get to the pool early, before lunch or a nap, the park district said. East End Pool will be open later on certain days, with the Late Night Swim expanded to two times a month. This event will keep the pool open until 10:30 p.m.
Due to feedback, some new amenities have been added at the pools as well. The park district said Smalley Pool's water bikes will be replaced with new animal-themed features. East End Pool will get a new seal-themed water slide in the tot pool. Finally, the Hub's turtle water feature will be replaced by a new frog-themed feature.

“We are very excited about some of the operational and facility changes we are making based on feedback from our patrons and pool members. We are hoping to make East End, Smalley and The Hub a regular part of every resident’s summer,” Sarah Lagesse, Division Manager of Aquatics and The Hub, said in a release.
