Fire Damages Home In Elmhurst Neighborhood
A firefighter was taken to the hospital and then released, the city said.
ELMHURST, IL – Elmhurst firefighters put out a house fire early Friday morning in the 100 block of East Crescent Avenue, the city said.
Shortly after 1 a.m., firefighters found heavy smoke and flames in the back of the house, the city said in a news release. Everyone safely evacuated from the home and the fire was put out in about an hour, the city said.
A firefighter was injured and taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was treated and released, the city said.

The fire's cause remains under investigation, the city said.
