ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of criminal property damage, prowling, retail theft and domestic battery. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst arrest log:

Fired

  • A 34-year-old Chicago man was arrested Monday on a criminal property damage charge. Police said the man smashed a company laptop after being fired during the afternoon of Feb. 26 at Integra Healthcare Equipment, 321 W. Lake St. The man was released.

Prowling

  • A 52-year-old homeless woman was arrested about 4 a.m. Monday on a prowling charge. Police said they responded to a burglar alarm at a business at 210 N. York St. Officers found the front door open and the woman inside keeping warm. The woman was released.

Domestic battery

  • A 28-year-old Elmhurst man who lives in the 600 block of West Comstock Avenue was arrested about 5 p.m. Wednesday on a domestic battery charge. Police said the man struck someone else during an argument. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.

Retail theft

  • A 51-year-old Oak Park man was arrested about 10 a.m. Monday at Walgreens, 160 N. Robert Palmer Drive, on charges of retail theft and obstructing identification. He was released.
