Former Edison Elementary School Principal Dies at 58
Visitation is Sunday, funeral Mass on Monday in Countryside and La Grange.
Daniel P. MacAskill of LaGrange Park, former principal of Edison Elementary School in Elmhurst, has died at age 58.
In addition to serving as a principal in District 205, Mr. MacAskill also was an office administrator in the district for many years.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John.
He is survived by his wife, Regina E. (nee Thomas); his daughters, Lauren (Kevin) Suva and Rebecca MacAskill; his grandson, Ryan; his sister, Maureen (Thomas) Pavletic; his sister-in-law, Patricia MacAskill; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, April 15, at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 16, at St. Francis Xavier Church, 124 N. Spring Ave., La Grange. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated to The Congregation of St. Joseph, 1515 W. Ogden Ave., LaGrange Park, IL 60526.
