Gas Fire Injures Three in Back Alley Burger on W. St. Charles Road
Elmhurst firefighters responded Tuesday to an alarm at 1:19 p.m.

One person was hospitalized Tuesday and two others injured after a gas fire broke out at the Back Alley Burger at 609 W St. Charles Road, according to a city news release.
The fire was caused by a gas line repair, but the sprinkler system in the restaurant kept the fire from spreading.
Elmhurst Fire Department firefighters were called to the house Tuesday at 1:19 p.m., after an automatic fire alarm went off, the news release stated. Someone in the area also called to report the kitchen fire as personnel were on their way.
One person was brought to the Loyola University Medical Center Burn Unit, and two people were treated on site for minor injuries.
