Gertrud J. Zintl, 91, died peacefully at her home in Elmhurst, Illinois on August 30, 2015. Beloved wife of F. Karl Zintl, loving mother of Brigitta (Zintl) Kunz of Sigmaringen Germany and Thomas M. Together with Karl, her husband of 55 years, she traveled the world over, often returning to the south of Germany, her beloved homeland. Gertrud and Karl were Elmhurst residents since 1952. They are listed on the American Immigrant Wall of Honor on Ellis Island in New York.

Gertrud was selflessly dedicated to her family and friends. She was steadfast in her spiritual beliefs; a strength which provided her great strength and comfort throughout her life.
