Handcuffed Man Ran, Rolled, Kicked to Avoid Arrest in Elmhurst

Police pulled over Peter Patrick Pearson and found he had a warrant out of Indiana for fraud.

Elmhurst police pulled over a man June 17 at York and Diversey for an obstructed front view and found he was driving with a suspended license and had a warrant out of Indiana for fraud.

Peter Patrick Pearson, age 34 of the 3700 block of Home, Berwyn, resisted arrest and ran away after he was handcuffed, according to Elmhurst police.

He was caught, but he “continued to roll, move and kick at officers,” police reported.

Police found two open bottles of vodka in Pearson’s car.

Pearson was charged with obstructed view, driving with a suspended license, aggravated resisting, attempted escape, illegal transportation of alcohol and fugitive from justice, according to police. He was brought to DuPage County Jail.
