IC Catholic Prep Announces Twelve Students Named 2016-2017 Illinois State Scholars
IC Catholic Prep is pleased to announce that 12 students have been recognized as 2016-2017 Illinois State Scholars.

IC Catholic Prep President/Principal, Pamela Levar, is pleased to announce that 12 students have been recognized as 2016-2017 Illinois State Scholars. This prestigious award is given annually by the Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC). Illinois State Scholar winners rank in the top ten percent of the state’s high school seniors from high schools across the state. Selection is based on SAT, ACT and of Prairie State Achievement Exam scores, and/or class rank at the end of the junior year. High school guidance counselors work in conjunction with ISAC to determine the winners.
The 2016-2017 Illinois State Scholars from IC Catholic Prep are: Garrett Cheng (Elmhurst), Teresa Gaudio (Lombard), Maeve Gillette (Elmhurst), Patrick Guinan (Elmhurst), Patrick Jordan (Northlake), Claudia Koch (Bensenville), Fiona Kordyban (Lombard), Alister McGrath (Elmhurst), Mary Katherine Mulligan (Elmhurst), Marc Natividad (Schiller Park), Brendan O’Brien (Elmhurst), and Angel Ramirez (Berkeley).
Originally formed as the Illinois State Scholarship Commission in 1957, the Illinois Student Assistance Commission provides students of all ages and backgrounds with the resources and support to obtain financial aid for higher education. A state agency, ISAC has paved the path to post-secondary education with innovative programs for over 50 years. More than half a million Illinois State Scholars have been recognized by ISAC since the program’s inception.
