IC Catholic Prep Hires Andrade to Lead New Boys Soccer Program
IC Catholic Prep is pleased to announce the hiring of Javier Andrade to lead the new Boys Soccer Program.
IC Catholic Prep is pleased to announce the hiring of Javier Andrade to lead the new Boys Soccer Program. Andrade who holds both an American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) Advanced License and a USSF C License, has been coaching in AYSO Region 399 for over 15 years. He has coached various teams in the U6-U19 age groups and has also coached boys teams in the AYSO Extra travel program.
During his time with the AYSO Soccer program, Andrade had the opportunity to take a U19 team to National Tournaments in Hawaii, California, Tennessee, Florida, and Illinois and recently took his U12 team to play in the Gothia Cup in Sweden. Andrade also serves on the AYSO Board as a Coach Instructor and a National Trainer.
“I am excited about being a part of starting this new program at IC Catholic Prep” said Andrade, “My focus in the first year will be on player development”.

Andrade worked with the ICCP boys during the summer, leading a weeklong camp at the Plunkett Athletic Complex.
“I was so pleased and impressed with the group” said Andrade. “They are great young men and they worked very hard. In just 10 hours of training, they showed tremendous improvement”.

The Knights Boys Soccer team will play their first match in program history on Monday, August 24th at 6:30pm at Aurora Central Catholic. On Saturday, September 5th at 3:30pm, they will host their first home match against Evergreen Park on the turf at the Plunkett Athletic Complex.
“We are looking forward to having Javier on board to lead our Boys Soccer program” said ICCP Athletic Director, Tom Schergen. “ Javier not only brings in years of coaching experience, but his ability to teach and develop players will help build a strong foundation from which our boys soccer program can grow and be successful in the years to come”.
