ICGS 7th Graders Excel at Illinois State Science Fair

On April 27th and 28th, eleven ICGS 7th graders were awarded medals at the Illinois Junior Academy of Science competition.

On April 27th and 28th, eleven seventh grade students from Immaculate Conception Grade School in Elmhurst competed at the Illinois Junior Academy of Science, held at Bradley University and the Peoria Civic Center. These students qualified for the state competition by competing at their regional fair with nine other ICGS seventh graders in March. In the “Science Project” category, gold medals were awarded to Maileigh Cousins, Ava Rose Giannini, Anthony Karsten, Ava Meurer, Gia Toliopoulos, Regan Wright, and Casey Weppner. Sam Van Eekeren was awarded a silver medal in this category. In the “Science Paper” category, gold medals were awarded to Grace Libert and Kate Vogelsperger and a bronze medal was awarded to Quinn Hunter.
