ICGS Draws Large Audience with its Production of "Mary Poppins"

During the weekend of March 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, the ICGS Parents' Club-sponsored spring musical, "Mary Poppins," drew large crowds.

During the weekend of March 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, eighty-four 6th, 7th, and 8th graders from Immaculate Conception Grade School in Elmhurst performed in the school's spring musical, "Mary Poppins." Two evening performances and one matinee drew a total crowd of nearly 1100. This production, sponsored by the ICGS Parents' Club, was the fourteenth one at ICGS, directed by Emily Leonard. The play's chairwomen, Kathy Buscemi and Tracey Stewart, enlisted the help of more than seventy parent volunteers to work on everything from set design and costumes to ticketing and public relations. Rehearsals began in January and included choreography by ICGS alumni parent, Peg Koch. The play's Musical Director was Elmhurst native, Helen Knudsen.
