ICGS Seventh Graders Excel at State Science Fair

On May 3rd and 4th, a group of eight seventh graders from ICGS competed at the Ilinois Junior Academy of Science State Fair.

On Friday, May 3rd and Saturday, May 4th, eight seventh grade students from Immaculate Conception Grade School in Elmhurst travelled to the University of Southern Illinois in Carbondale to compete at the Illinois Junior Academy of Science State Fair. These students had previously competed at the regional level to qualify. On Friday, May 3rd the research paper session was held and students, Colin Cushing, Marguerite DiMarco, Declan Fahey, and Charlie Phillips competed in that category. DiMarco, Fahey, and Phillips each earned gold medals and Cushing earned a silver. On Saturday, the 4th, Jada Cannon, Allie Geiger, Enya Gildea, and Dylan Johnson competed in the science project session. Gildea earned a gold medal and Cannon, Geiger, and Johnson each earned a silver. In addition, Marguerite DiMarco received a special monetary award for her paper from Aspen Dental Inc.
