ICGS Students Collect "Food for Francis"

In honor of Pope Francis' visit to the U.S., ICGS students participated in a food collection for the IC Parish food pantry.

In honor of Pope Francis’ United States visit, the week of September 21st has been a special one at Immaculate Conception Grade School in Elmhurst. Each day, students were have been asked to pray for the Pope’s safety and to focus on a a different theme. These daily themes have included prayer, forgiveness, service, joy, and gratitude. On Wednesday, September 23rd, students were encouraged to bring a food item into school for the IC Parish food pantry, which was in need of food. The response was overwhelming.
