ICGS Wins Overall First Place at Fenwick Speech Contest
On Saturday, October 29th, thirty students from Immaculate Conception Grade School in Elmhurst competed in the Fenwick Speech Contest.
On Saturday, October 29th, thirty seventh and eighth grade students from Immaculate Conception Grade School in Elmhurst competed in five categories at the Fenwick Speech Contest. Based on the results of these students, ICGS was named the overall 1st place winner in the contest. As far as individual ICGS results, in the area of Prose, Hayley Sennett won 1st Place and Lauren Schleiter, Molly Loch, Maddie Miller, Sydney Malaga, and Maeve Maietta each won an Honorable Mention. In the area of Poetry, Tommy Sullivan won 1st Place and Michael Kuhl won 6th Place. Michael Hilgart, Mimi Attard, Liam Dacre, and Josh Schierl were each awarded an Honorable Mention. In the area of Oratory, Katie Norgle, Declan Kenneally, Annalise Belzile, Eddie Raniere, Ava Rucker, and Kaylee Wilson each won an Honorable Mention. In the area of Declamation, James Golen won 2nd Place, Carl Knable won 4th Place, and Anna Dray won 6th Place. Jack Giura, Skylar Bogumil, and Therese Giannini each won an Honorable Mention. Finally, in the area of Dramatic Performance, Kathryn King won 1st Place and Eva Calles won 2nd Place. Jennifer Schiliro, Aidan Janc, Katelin Doughty, and Gabriella Kiel each won an Honorable Mention.
