Immanuel Lutheran Welcomes Over 200 to School

Immanuel Lutheran School, 148 E. Third Street in Elmhurst, kicked off the 2015-2016 school year with over 200 students in attendance.  Shortly before the school year began, each student was visited by the classroom teacher at home for a “home visit,” a tradition that Immanuel families cherish.  During a home visit, teachers visit each child for some special one-on-one time, getting to know each child at his or her home.  Students also gathered for the Open House just before doors opened and school families gathered for a picnic and movie night during the first week of school.  Immanuel recognizes the special relationship between students, school and family and works to provide many opportunities to foster this relationship throughout the school year.  God uses Immanuel Lutheran to share Christ-centered education to children in Elmhurst and surrounding communities from 3 years of age through 8th grade.
