More than 150 guests, some clad in the pajamas, enjoyed the Elmhurst Historical Museum’s first annual Jolly Old St. Nick Concert presented at Elmhurst College on December 5th.
The event celebrated Elmhurst’s German roots as the Elmhurst Damenchor (Women’s Chorus) serenaded the crowd with traditional Christmas carols in German. St. Nicholas arrived to share the history of his legend and other holiday traditions with audience members, and a festive hot cocoa bar topped off the night.
