Kite Fest Planned In Elmhurst
The event will have a free kite building for kids, a family fun fly, candy drop and more.

ELMHURST, IL — Take to the skies at this year's Kite Fest, hosted by the Elmhurst Park District. The fest will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11. at Berens Park. According to the park district, the event will have a free kite building for kids, a family fun fly, candy drop, and students and tricks by professional flyers.
The schedule includes:
- 11 a.m. - Sport Kite performance
- 11:30 a.m. - Bol races
- 12:30 p.m. - Candy drop
- 1 p.m. - Hula Hoop contest
- 1:30 p.m. - Sport kite performance
The event is sponsored by Edward-Elmhurst Health and Courts Plus. There will also be food trucks on-site, so families can purchase lunch at the event.
