LA GRANGE PARK, IL — The La Grange Park Police Department has announced the promotion of Timothy Griffin to day-shift sergeant and the appointment of Antonio Garcia as a police officer, according to a post Monday on the department's Facebook page. They were sworn in to their new positions at last week's meeting of the La Grange Park Village Board.

Garcia just finished his field training and is now assigned to the afternoon shift. He was hired as a probationary police officer in May. Griffin started with the police department in 2012, the village's website says. Griffin's salary was $84,000 in 2018, according to OpenTheBooks.com.
