Lake Geneva group visits Elmhurst

Docents and staff members from Black Point Estate visit the "Beer Chicago" exhibit to find out more about Conrad Seipp

A group of 12 visitors from Lake Geneva, Wisconsin dropped by the Elmhurst Historical Museum on December 8 to view the “Beer Chicago” exhibit. The group is from Black Point Estate, the circa 1888 summer home of Chicago beer baron Conrad Seipp. Seipp’s brewery is featured in the “Beer Chicago” story, and his former home in Lake Geneva is now open to the public from May to October and is managed by the Wisconsin State Historical Society.
