Lawyer Arrested By Elmhurst Police: Report
Attorney is accused in domestic disturbance, police say.
ELMHURST, IL — An Elmhurst man is accused of domestic violence after an incident during the morning of the Fourth of July, according to a police report. The suspect was identified as David P. Kaminski, 49, of Elmhurst. He is an attorney with the Chicago-based law firm Mayer Brown, where he specializes in banking and finance.
According to an Elmhurst police report, Kaminski threw food at a person about 10 a.m., striking her in the face and causing an injury. He then grabbed her cellphone to prevent her from calling the police, the report said.
Kaminski was charged with domestic violence, interfering with the reporting of domestic violence and attempted unlawful restraint, the report said. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail, police said.

Kaminski declined to comment on the situation Tuesday.
