'Lewd Disturbance' At Elmhurst Store; 2 Arrested
In another case, a man was charged with making a false robbery report, police said.

ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police handled cases involving a "lewd disturbance," a false robbery report, the theft of batteries at a business, property damage, retail theft, a fake real estate agent and DUIs. Here is information from the latest Elmhurst police reports:
'Lewd disturbance'
- A 19-year-old Spring Grove woman and a 21-year-old Wasilla, Alaska, man were arrested about 11 p.m. Sunday at Jewel, 153 E. Schiller St., on disorderly conduct charges. Police said they were called to a "lewd disturbance." The suspects were released.
False robbery report

- Eddy R. Espinoza Barrera, 28, of Chicago, was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Saturday at Second Street and Larch Avenue on a charge of disorderly conduct by filing a false crime report. Police said Espinoza made up a robbery. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Business theft
- A 47-year-old man and a 38-year-old man, both of whom live in the 800 block of North Addison Avenue, were arrested Friday on theft charges. Police said the duo went under a rear lot fence and stole 72 used truck batteries between Jan. 2 and Feb. 10 at Truck and Trailer Parts Store, 933 N. Larch Ave. They turned themselves in at the police station. They were released.

- A 31-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 10 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of North Illinois Street on charges of criminal property damage, obstruction of an officer (two counts) and disorderly conduct. He was released.
- Graffiti was found Thursday in several areas of the city's parking deck at 135 N. Addison Ave.
Retail theft
- A person walked into CVS Pharmacy, 110 W. North Ave., and stole four bottles of alcohol about 4 p.m. Thursday. An investigation is pending.
Cemetery theft
- Someone stole a copper vase from a burial plot at Mount Emblem Cemetery, 520 E. Grand Ave. The theft was reported Sunday.
Fake real estate agent
- A resident in the 100 block of Fellows Court told police Sunday about a person posing as a real estate agent advertising a rental property. An investigation is pending.
DUI
- A 38-year-old Mount Prospect woman was arrested about 3 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of East Butterfield Road on charges of DUI and possession of open alcohol. She was given a court date and then released.
- A 25-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 3:30 a.m. Saturday at North and Elm avenues on charges of DUI, improper stopping in the roadway, driving with a suspended license, driving an uninsured car, illegally tinted windows and transportation of open alcohol. He was given a court date and then released.
- A 42-year-old Hanover Park woman was arrested about 5 a.m. Sunday in the 100 block of East Schiller Street on charges of DUI and improper window tinting. She was given a court date and then released.
- A 32-year-old Chicago man was arrested about 8 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of South Berkley Avenue on charges of DUI, driving with a suspended license and driving an uninsured car. Police said the man was asleep behind the wheel of a running car.
