Local Oak Brook Residents to Walk 39.3 Breast Cancer-Crushing Miles Set to Participate in Weekend-Long AVON 39 Chicago on Jun

Oak Brook women join with Breast Cancer survivors and their families for a 39.3 mile walk to raise money to end Breast Cancer

Oak Brook – The Chitown Pink Ladies of Oak Brook will join thousands of women and men in the upcoming AVON 39 The Walk to End Breast Cancer [WALK CITY], raising funds to enable access to screenings and medicine, fuel research, and save lives. The team includes Elizabeth Gossage, Kendra Fuson, Anna Kamilis, Ann Kostopanagiotou, and Speree Murray, together they will participate in the 39.3-mile challenge over the weekend of June 4-5, 2017.

Chitown Pink Ladies was inspired to take part in AVON 39 Chicago because so many of our friends and family are devastated by this horrible cancer.

“The funds raised by AVON 39ers support organizations across the U.S. that help women and men, regardless of their ability to pay, get the breast cancer care they need,” said Kevin Honeycutt, President & CEO. “Because of the dedication and passion of our AVON 39ers, we continue to get closer to our ultimate goal of ending breast cancer once and for all.”

Chitown Pink Ladies has set a fundraising goal of $10,000. Funds raised by Chitown Pink Ladies and the thousands of other AVON 39 participants are distributed by the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade to local, regional and national breast cancer organizations to support breast cancer education, screening and diagnosis, access to treatment and support services, and life-saving research.
