Logistics Center Opens In Bensenville

The company is filling a new 300,000-square-foot building on Devon Avenue.

BENSENVILLE, IL – A company is occupying a new 300,000-square-foot building in Bensenville, the village said Wednesday.

Apex Logistics is in the building at 1301 Devon Ave.

Apex moved to Bensenville to allow it to consolidate several locations into one larger space, according to a Bensenville news release.

Apex employs more than 2,500 people in 70 countries.

"We're thrilled to see rapidly growing companies like Apex Logistics quickly filling the new industrial spaces in Bensenville," Village President Frank DeSimone said in the release. "New developments like this help attract new business into Bensenville while also creating jobs and lowering the tax burden on our residents."

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the new building Wednesday.

At an Elmhurst City Council meeting last month, then-Alderman Mark Mulliner said in his final speech that he was glad that Elmhurst's industrial park wasn't becoming a place for logistics centers, which are involved in the transportation of goods.
