Elmhurst Cool Cities Coalition hosts “Making the Most of Residential Recycling,” Tues., Oct. 6, 7 p.m., Elmhurst Public Library.
Richard Vandermolen, municipal services manager for Republic Services/Allied Waste, will be on hand to answer all your recycling questions. Learn what can and can’t be recycled; what items contaminate recycling, and what just one contaminant can do to the waste stream; how plastics impact the environment; trends in solid and recycling waste.
