Man Arrested for Littering Flees Elmhurst Police, 50 Debit Cards Found

Police searching the car found more than 50 Visa Vanilla reloadable debit cards.

Elmhurst police pulled over a car for littering and a seat belt violation July 9 at Route 83 and St. Charles, and they found the driver had a suspended license and was in possession of two Ecstasy pills.

Police searching the car found more than 50 Visa Vanilla reloadable debit cards, according to Elmhurst police.

The driver, Taneshia Walker, age 27 of the 5500 block of West Washington Street, Chicago, was arrested and charged with possession of an altered debit card, possession of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license and no insurance, police reported.

Johnny Butler, age 22 of the 2900 block of West Arthington Street, Chicago, was also found to have two Visa reloadable debit cards and a MasterCard reloadable debit cards.

He was arrested for littering, but while police were walking him to the squad car, he broke free and tried to run away, police reported. He was caught and brought to the station.

Butler was charged with possession of an altered debit card, resisting a peace officer, no seat belt and littering.
