Man Batters Elmhurst Officer At Bar: Police
In another case, two men were charged with burglary and drug possession at a local hotel, authorities said.
ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges such as aggravated battery, burglary, theft and fraudulent identification. Here is information from Elmhurst's latest arrest log:
Aggravated battery
- Bryan J. Thele, 30, of Addison, was arrested shortly before midnight Wednesday on charges of aggravated battery to a police officer and resisting a police officer. Police said the incident occurred at Manny's Ale House, 683 W. St. Charles Road. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Burglary

- Brian L. Bilyk, 26, of Wheaton, and Nicholas Roberts, 42, of Alsip, were arrested about 5 a.m. Tuesday on charges of burglary and methamphetamine possession. The incident occurred at Clarion Inn, 933 Riverside Drive. Police said he stole several items at the hotel. They were taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Theft
- A 50-year-old Wheaton man was arrested about 3 p.m. Wednesday on a theft charge. Police said the man stole a phone and ID at a business at 740 N. Larch Ave. Police said he stole several items from the business. He was released.
Fraudulent identification

- A 44-year-old Plainfield man was arrested shortly before midnight Monday at Beverly Avenue and Commonwealth Lane on charges of possession of fraudulent identification, driving with a revoked license, obstructing identification and driving with a suspended registration. He was released.
