Man Busted for Sipping Fireball Whiskey in His Car: Cops
He was charged with possession of open liquor in public.
An Elmhurst police officer watched Aug. 14 as a man left a liquor store in the 900 block of South York with some Fireball Whiskey, got in his car, cracked open the bottle and took a sip.
Jason T Luther, age 41 of Elm Creek in Elmhurst, acknowledged to the officer that he drank some whiskey from the bottle, according to Elmhurst police.
Luther was charged with possession of open liquor in public and released on bond. The bottle of Fireball was put into evidence.
