Man with Purse Arrested for Theft After Cops See Suspicious Car in Handicap Spot
The man was charged with two felony counts of retail theft, possession of cannabis and no valid driver's license, police reported.

A patrolling Elmhurst police officer watched July 26 as a man with a brown purse got out of a suspicious car parked in a handicap space outside the Walgreens at 160 North Palmer Drive.
The car didn’t have a handicap placard displayed, and a few minutes later when the man left the Walgreens, his purse appeared full, according to Elmhurst police.
The officer contacted the man and found he had stolen items from Walgreens. A search of his car revealed more items in the trunk.
