Man Tries To Disarm Cop In Elmhurst: Police
In another case, a man was charged with two counts of domestic battery, according to a report.

ELMHURST, IL – In recent days, Elmhurst police arrested people on charges of disarming an officer, domestic battery, drug possession and retail theft. Here is information from the arrest log:
Carjacking
- Cameo D. Byrd, 41, of Los Angeles, was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 5800 block of Park Avenue in Berkeley on an Elmhurst charge of attempting to disarm a police officer. Elmhurst police helped Berkeley police capture Byrd, a carjacking suspect who was armed with a knife. While at Elmhurst Hospital, Byrd tried to disarm a Berkeley officer. He was taken to the Cook County Jail.

- Terrence Jackson, 30, of Chicago, was arrested about 3 a.m. Sunday at Courtyard by Marriott, 370 N. Route 83, on two counts of domestic battery. Police responded to a 911 hangup at the hotel. It was discovered that a domestic battery had occurred. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail.
Warrant
- Eric Eichinger, 41, of Elmhurst, was arrested about 2:30 p.m. Friday on a warrant. He turned himself in at the Elmhurst police station. He was released on bond.

- Anna Rukawiczkin, 39, of Chicago, was arrested about 9 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of East Butterfield Road on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on bond.
Retail theft
- Andrew J. Brogan, 40, of Sleepy Hollow, was cited about 1 a.m. Friday at 7-Eleven, 572 S. York St., on a charge of retail theft. Police said Brogan stole alcohol. He was released on bond.
