Man Twice Arrested At Same Elmhurst Store: Police

The man was taken to the county jail the second time, authorities said.

ELMHURST, IL – A Chicago man was arrested two days in a row over the weekend at the same Elmhurst store, police said.

The first incident was about 10:30 p.m. Saturday at Jewel, 153 E. Schiller St.

Police said Lance Alexander, 60, stole an item from the store and was then charged with retail theft. He was released on bond.

About 8 a.m. Sunday, police received a call about a man, identified as Alexander, drinking and smoking in the restroom at Jewel, according to a report.

Alexander left the store and was found shortly after, police said.

He was charged with violation of his bail bond from the previous day. He was issued a no-trespass notice and taken to the DuPage County Jail.
